Mediation Services

In 1982, when Ed Krug began practicing law, approximately 75% of all cases settled meaning that 25% (or at least 1 in 4 cases) went to trial. Today, the numbers reflect a much different trend, with 98% of all cases settling in Iowa. In light of this reality, we have created what we term “Mediation Support Services.”

Our Mediation Support Services involve counseling insurers and self-insured companies, as well as individuals, on the demographics of the Iowa trial bar, including potential jury verdict results, the type of jury pool available, and the different locations in metropolitan and rural areas of Iowa.

We are also available to act as advocates at mediations. We believe an effective approach involves both forceful advocacy coupled with sensitivity. We recognize that this approach saves both sides time and money, and often avoids the necessity of filing a lawsuit.
